Quartz Sand

1. Product introduction

Quartz stone or silica, is a kind of silicate minerals that has hard texture, abrasion resistance, stable chemical properties` characters. Quartz sand is crushing by quartz stone;it is white, colorless or translucent, the intrinsic molecular chain structure. Quartz sand is crystal shape  and variation lattice, which has high temperature resistance, the small thermal expansion coefficient, high insulation, corrosion resistance, piezoelectric effect, resonant effects and its unique optical properties.

2. Application of quartz sand

Quartz sand is an important industrial mineral raw material, non hazardous chemicals,It is widely used in glass, casting, ceramics and refractories, smelting ferrosilicon, metallurgical flux, metallurgy, construction, chemical, plastic, rubber, abrasive and other industries; specific application performance for motor and train transportation:

a. Glass: flat glass, float glass, glass products (glass cans, glass bottles, glass tubes, etc.), optical glass, glass fiber, glass instruments, conductive glass, glass cloth and anti radiation special glass and other main raw materials

b. Ceramic and refractory materials: embryo material and porcelain glaze, kiln with high silica brick, ordinary raw materials such as silicon carbide and carborundum.

c. Metallurgy: silicon metal, ferrosilicon alloy and silicon aluminum alloy and other raw materials or additives, flux.

d. Building: concrete, cementitious materials, road construction materials, artificial marble, cement physical properties testing materials ( cement standard sand) etc..

e. Chemical: as silicon compounds and water, glass and other raw materials; sulfuric acid tower filler, amorphous silica powder.

f. Machinery:the main raw material of machinery casting sand, grinding materials (sand, hard abrasive paper, sandpaper, emery cloth, etc.).

g. Electronic: high purity metal silicon, communication fiber etc..

h. Rubber, plastic: filler (to improve wear resistance)

I. Coating: filler (to improve the acid resistance of coating)

Quartz sand filter:0.5-1 1-2 2-4  3-5 5-8 8-16 16-32mm 36 46 60 100 120.

Abrasives: 0.25-0.5 6-10mm 24 30 36 46 60 80 100 120 0.5-1 1-2 2-4 4-6 150200.

Quartz sand for floor brick: 60-80 80-120.

4. Transportation and Packing

Woven bag, lined with plastic film bags, each 25kg can also be packaged according to customer demand. The product should be placed in a cool and dry place during storage; When transportation, it prevents to mixed with hard materials, to affecting the quality of packaging, to prevent breakage. To avoid leakage or mixed with debris; to avoid water, oil and fire.
